There's not really a whole lot one could expect to learn about me from a web site except possibly to be slightly impressed by the fact that I took the time to build one. I'm a 26 year old single guy trying to etch out what semblance of a living I can here in Boise, Idaho. I've lived in the area for eight years now (mostly because I haven't found someplace better to go that will have me). I build databases and fix computer problems for a living. I'm also a pretty decent technical writer. I don't know that I'm so hot at fiction and/or poetry writing, but feel free to decide for yourself. I won't bore you with too many details (that's what the section below is for). But I must say, I do applaud you for having read this far...

Hobbies: Tae Kwon Do - I am a member of Kim's Taekwondo Studio here in Boise. I just got my brown belt, and hopefully I will achieve my black belt early next year (2004). Magic: The Gathering - A collectable card game I like to play (as well as dump horrendous amounts of money into). It is the equivalent of Chess for the modern era: extremely challenging, and very open-ended. The pictures of dragons and zombies on the cards are pretty cool too. Check out www.MagicTheGathering.com for more information. Karaoke - I love to sing. I'm pretty darned good at it, and Karaoke grants me an audience I can torture with that skill on a regular basis. What more can I ask for? (besides a recording contract... hint, hint). But anyway, if you're in the Boise area, come on down to Hooligans some weekend and check it out. Heck, I'll even buy you a game of pool while we're waiting for the rotation to come up. Pool - I didn't say you'd win... Writing and Poetry - Um, yeah... I kinda put this site together to showcase that. Now if I could just get my butt in gear and write some new stuff... Music - Despite the lack of any real talent for musical instruments, I've always had a passion for creating music. Fortunately, computers can make up for most of that talent stuff (so long as you have a good idea for a song and you're really, really patient). So I've created an entire album of techno music, and I've also put together some more contemporary rock and roll that I can sing to. I have also posted some of my techno pieces on this site. I will try to get some of my more contemporary work up soon. |
